EXPERIENCE
25+ years as a design professional
An education in Interior Design prepared me to decorate a home by bringing all new furnishings into a room and imposing a style that wasn't always compatible with the client's needs . I basically earned my living selling furniture, window treatments, art and accessories.
Over the years I began to look more closely at a home's existing decor and to ask the client about the pieces they already owned. I started to charge for my service and expertise instead of constantly trying to sell merchandise .
My new outlook eventually led me to New York City and
Lauri Ward
, celebrity author and pioneer of "use what you have" and one-day decorating. Under Lauri's personal tutelage I earned my certification as an
Interior Redecorator.
Now I find both myself and my clients happier. My clients have saved money and they have instant results. Hearing from them "I can't wait to show my friends" after we have completed a room make-over is my greatest reward.
